October 17, 2023 – Bishkek: To help increase access to Kyrgyz-language children’s materials, the Taalim Forum Public Foundation today announced the launch of Telelevel, a Kyrgyz-language digital platform for environmental education, by K. Terebel is an interactive website and educational resource for students, teachers, and others interested in ecology and eco-education. Thanks to Terebel, users will have access to a wide range of materials in the Kyrgyz language on environmental education and geosciences. The platform offers materials developed based on the translated and published Kyrgyz books “Everything Kids’Environment Book” and “Everything Kids’Nature Book”, as well as a methodological guide for teachers on ethnoecology in schools. Representative of the Ministry of Education and Science Trogon Amatov pointed out the relevance of digital platforms, as they help attract more readers, and their electronic format helps expand access to books. Librarians now have more opportunities and resources to engage with readers.
Biik Rysklov, Director of the Republican Center for Ecology, Local History and Tourism for Children and Youth under the Ministry of Education and Science, spoke about the importance of strengthening cooperation in conservation and environmental education.
