Michelle Glass has joined Gibbons PC as director of the environment group, the company announced Tuesday. She will work in the company’s office in Newark.
Glass brings nearly 20 years of experience in all aspects of environmental law. From litigation to corporate and real estate transactions, regulatory issues, insurance, sustainability, and environmental justice considerations, her practice provides timely, practical, and thoughtful advice to a diverse and sophisticated clientele. She has extensive knowledge of state and federal environmental laws and regulations, including remediation standards and reporting requirements. And her expertise extends to health and safety considerations.
Mr. Glass previously served as general counsel in Pfizer’s Environmental and Sustainability Law Group, where his work focused on protecting the health and safety of employees, local communities, and the environment, and maintaining compliance with internal, national, and international environmental regulations. provided strategic advice. She currently holds the position of Vice-Chair of the Committee and serves as Additional (Energy Justice) Vice-Chair of ABA SEER’s Energy Committee.
He has also held numerous positions in the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section, including serving as a founding member of the NJSBA’s Renewable Energy, Clean Tech, and Climate Change Subcommittee from 2009 to 2013 and from 2016 to 2019. He has held leadership positions.
Glass earned his J.D., summa cum laude, and a certificate in environmental law from Pace University’s Elizabeth Haub School of Law. She holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in applied economics and business administration from Cornell University. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
